Err!! I did not invest much. But yes I invested little.

I got up in the morining and read a article in ET that 400 stocks rise 100%.

Sensex may have gained 58% from its one-year low but did you know that over 400 companies have more than doubled their share prices from one years low ?

As many as 20 largecaps such as RIL, SAIL, M&M , Sterlite, ICICI Bank and 30 mid-caps like Sesa Goa, Dish TV, Suzlon, Pantaloon and Unitech are among the 400-odd stocks which have given over 100% returns, if you would had bought them at their lows, an analysis of CMIE data shows. – Economic Times

I was ashamed why didnt I invest. I thought I missed the golden opportunity  but later I realised that what ever I did was right. I am a long term investor and I cannot be carried away a small bull run in a bear markets.

Ok forget what I did. What would you people have done in my place ?

Off lately you may have realised a buzz word know as “Social Investing Community” for me its is a advanced version of “Forums” or even a combination of Forums, Social Media site and Information sites as they give every thing starting from – Discussions , Stock Quotes, Charts, Portfolio and many more things and yes you can also add friends as you do in your Facebook and/or Orkut.

CafeStocks - CafeStocks is a good site but doesn’t have many features.

Mudraa – Mudraa is a good site, has many features but not properly arranged.

A equity research group Elliot Wave International is predicting that SENSEX could reach 1 lac levels 16 odd years from now in 2025.
Do you know it true? I don’t know that this research report is genuine or no?
But I personally feel that this can come true as India along with China will be the leading economy in the world. Here is a Evidence.
Other factors -
Indian GDP is surely ought to increase it will much higher than it is now.
It could easily be over 8-9 trillion $.
So I am bullish on Indian Economy (2025).

Though trusting any report in dangerous. But one can always check out the past records and find what is possible. How Wipro Ltd. made many people billionaires.

Reliance had 69.6 million subscribers at the end of February.
In Jan 2009 it added 5 million subscribers and was the first Indian telecom company to add the biggest number of subscribers in a month. This was mainly because of RCom starting its GSM operation.

Airtel now I think is concentrating on its IPTV business and DTH business.

When the conditions are in favour for some sector one should plan to penetrate. As the first function of an entrepreneur is to perceive opportunities.

A fact file on India Telecom sector -

• India is the fastest growing telecom market in the world.
• Around February last year, India overtook Russia to become the third largest mobile market.
• India’s total mobile subscriber base now stands at 237 mn in comparison with China’s 534 million, US’s 257 mn.
• At current growth rate, India will cross the 264 million mark by May or May-end, overtaking the US.
• India is expected to have 450 million mobile subscribers by the turn of the decade, which means every third Indian will have his/her own mobile phone by 2010.

SMS in India is expected to grow from 59 billion messages in 2006, to 180 billion in 2010.

So a startup related to SMS service is really needed. Looking at the demand and suppy gap in this area.
