Below is a story which explains HR Process in short.

One day while walking down the street a highly successful Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.

“Welcome to Heaven,” said St. Peter. “Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we’ve never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we’re not really sure what to do with you.”

“No problem, just let me in,” said the woman.

“Well, I’d like to, but I have higher orders. What we’re going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in.”

“Actually, I think I’ve made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven”, said the woman

“Sorry, we have rules…”

And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell.

The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends – fellow executives that she had worked with and they were well dressed in evening owns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner.

She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand and waved goodbye as she got on the elevator.

The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her.

“Now it’s time to spend a day in heaven,” he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her.

“So, you’ve spent a day in hell and you’ve spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,”

The woman paused for a second and then replied, “Well, I never thought I’d say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell.”

So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell.

When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks.

The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her.

“I don’t understand,” stammered the woman, “yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable.”

The Devil looked at her smiled and said…
“Yesterday we were recruiting you, Today you are an employee.”

Most of us have a dream to do a particular course from the best colleges. So is the dream of the Engineering students that they will do engineering from IIT’s. But than to get admissions in IIT they need to clear the IIT-Joint Entrance Exam(JEE). For this most of the students join various classes to help them crack the JEE examination. But what about those who cannot join classes due to financial instability.

The answer to this question is MR. Anand Kumar the real hero behind the success of the SUPER 30 Coaching Classes. He started the classes nearly 8 years ago in BIHAR. These classes are mostly for the poor students who cant afford to pay high amount of money as fees. For one to get admissions in SUPER 30, the students have to give an entrance exam and if they succeed to crack the test than they are enrolled in the classes.

This was not all MR ANAND KUMAR does not charge any fees to these students. He believes in giving free education to those who cannot afford such expensive coaching classes. The success story lies in the fact that since 8 years of inception the classes have enrolled 240 students out of which 212 have made it to different IIT’s in INDIA. And since the last 3 years all the students have made it to the IIT’s.

To top it his efforts were documented and shown on DISCOVERY for an hour. Anand Kumar, who himself missed a chance to study at Cambridge because he didn’t have enough money, gives full scholarships, including travel and stay, to every student of the batch of 30.

Interesting fact: Out of all the total gold produced in the world lets say 100units; 90% of it is owned by Indians i.e. 90 units. Well the answer lies in our history. In olden times when the state was divided among the various rulers almost all the men of a particular kingdom had to join the army to serve the king. Well we all know that INDIA will overtake CHINA in term of population explosion by 2015. But do we know that INDIA will overtake CHINA as the world fastest growing economy by 2015. Yes this is right. According to a survey by Morgan Stanley group INDIA will overtake CHINA as the fastest growing economy.

We all know that INDIA’s population is increasing but there is also an increase in the working age group i.e. people in the age group of 18-65 and a decrease in the dependent group. For any economy to grow there needs to be more people in the working group. Whereas on the other side CHINA is lagging behind because of the one child policy adopted by them in order to curb the population explosion. This was a temporary solution to gain control on population explosion but now it has counter fired. As a result CHINA is facing a situation where there are more people in the dependent class than in the work group. For any country to prosper it is essential that the population division is proper. INDIA thus gains an upper hand to CHINA in respect to population.

Secondly there is an increase in the FDI in INDIA in recent years. So INDIA has ample money power to grow as the fastest economy by 2015. Also, CHINA has cancelled all the deals for FDI put in front of them. As a result FDI in CHINA is decreasing and the second best option for investors is INDIA.

Also because of the geographic location, INDIA is quite the attractive destination for investors. Globalization has creeped in and INDIA has taken the utmost advantage of it.

To conclude, INDIA with the growing population, the money in the form of FDI and globalization can truly become the fastest growing economy by 2015.

Vedanta Resources, a metal mining and producing major in India, is all set to buy out oil and gas explorer Cairn India. The deal is expected to be worth $9.6 billion. Cairn India is subsidiary of Cairn Energy which is based in United Kingdom. Both,Vedanta resources and Cairn Energy are listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Vedanta though has many reasons to not to finish this deal as soon as it likes. Firstly, it is venturing out in the sector of gas and oil for the first time. Secondly, the state -owned ONGC is partnering Cairn in the Rajasthan fields and has 30% stake in those  fields. ONGC has concerns over the aftermath of the takeover. Even approvals from the Government is a big hurdle.

Cairn India, is the second largest private oil refiner in India, producing about 125 thousand barrels of oil per day. These productions are from the Rajasthan fields. This is what Vedanta is eyeing, producing even more than what Cairn India can.

Cairn India is currently in losses. It is running with a loss of $14.6 mn but it has a good market capitalization of $13.6 billion. Cairn Energy has a 62% stake in its Indian subsidary. And it is looking for a good deal from Vedanta, who is also paying a non-compete fee of Rs.50 per share to Cairn shareholders.

Vedanta is vying to buy 40% in Cairn India an rest 20% from other minority shareholders. This is huge deal and Vedanta is going to raise a debt around about $6 billion and may just complete this deal in the last quarter of 2010-2011.

Internet search titan Google, technology giant Apple and software firm Microsoft are among the most discussed technology brands in India, dominating most of the online conversations, a latest survey has found.

According to Digital Brand Index (DBI) for India compiled by Edelman in collaboration with Brandtology, Google has emerged as the top technology brand in India during April-June quarter.
