Growth of e-commerce in India

The second most populated country in the world India has about 10% of of it’s population using internet with this growth story of e-commerce websites is intact!

MySmartPrice came up with an infographic on e-commerce growth and trends.

Here are some of the interesting findings:

  • Last year the number of Indian consumers buying online has increased by 80%
  • 55% of the e-commerce sales comes from major cities (New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune)
  • 52% of online sales are from mobile & accesories
  • Some of the top selling brands are Samsung, Nokia, Blackberry, Sandisk, Kingston, HP, Dell, Sony, Lenovo, LG
