Market Share of top 10 Handset manufacturers in India

Some gain at others loss. The same is the case with Samsung and other handset manufacturers in India, Nokia and other brands are loosing it’s market share while Samsung is a clear winner in this race.

Mobile handset sales have plunged 5% compared to previous fiscal and now stands at Rs. 33,031 crore.

India is one of the fastest growing telecom markets globally but the growth rate has slowed down from monthly additions of 12-15 million to 7.99 million in May 2012.

As per the survey, Nokia retained its leadership with 38.2 percent share. However, its revenues have fallen 7.7 percent to Rs. 11,925 crore in 2011-12 from Rs. 12,929 crore in 2010-11. The Finnish company lost market share in smartphones and multi-media segment to Samsung, HTC and Apple, among others, but made a headway in the dual SIM phones category, it said.
