Forbes India had recently come up with their Global 2000 list. 61 Indian companies have found a place in the Forbes Global 2000 list.
The companies have been screened on four metrics - Sales, profits, assets and market value. Reliance Industries tops the list followed by SBI & ONGC. None of the Indian companies are in the top 100 list. Earlier in 2009 we had 47 companies in this list and the numbers have now increases.

An analysis of the Global 2000 shows that despite the bad performance in the financial sector, banks and diversified financials still dominate the list, with a combined 478 companies in the 2000 lineup. This is really surprising and also a relief for the market also. RIL is just ruling the Indian market.
