In my earlier post I spoke about Slide in Luxury cars sales number. But coming back to small and medium cars segment ad even SUV’s in India we saw a boom in car sales numbers.
Maruti Suzuki saw a 33.3% increase in its sales. A3 segment saw the highest monthly sales. SX4 and DeZire sales were up 51% at 9101 units.
Mahindra and Mahindra’s UV segment’s sales were up 56 percent to 16688 units on YoY. Its total sales were up 27 percent at 22463 versus 17302 units.
Even Hero Honda’s sales were up by 30.3%. TVS motors saw a minor increase in sales. The sales figure of TATA Cars isn’t available.
This drastic increase in sales can be due to various reasons :
