Here are some intresting facts about Twitter Usage and India. (This appeared in a tabloid Mid Day Mumbai edition today)

Mumbai ranks 31 out of top 50 tweeting world cities.
India is in the top 5 countries by sheer number of twitter users, behind US, UK, Canada and Australia. But way ahead of China and Other countries.
Half of the people on twitter have no followers. They have just created the account for name sake.
The average user tweets 0.97 times a day.
Number of tweets peak on Thursday and plummets on Saturday.
